Welcome to Akanishta Kadampa Buddhist Centre – Cheltenham

We’re located on the edge of the town centre, not far from Pittville Park. The meditation centre is a place of peace where everyone is welcome to explore meditation and discover how practising compassion and wisdom can help everyone solve daily life’s problems.

Established in 1993 by the esteemed meditation master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the centre has become a haven for local people wishing to learn about meditation, volunteer and connect with a welcoming community.

Whether you’re curious to learn more, or simply want to drop in and see what we’re all about, we’ll offer you a warm welcome.
