Meditation and Buddhism in the Cotswolds
The Benefits of Meditation
Meditation helps to create an inner calm which reduces stress and helps us to deal with all life's difficulties in a more postive way. Our body and mind will become relaxed, our relationships will natrually improve and we will find it easier to develop compassion and to cherish others. We will be happier.
Within these meditation practices you can find everything from simple relaxation techniques up to profound methods for self-transformation and benefiting others. Kadampa Buddhism is a complete inner path to the peace of a Buddha’s enlightenment.
We offer meditation classes throughout the Cotswold's area and our centre is in Cheltenham. Go to weekly classes to see if we run a class in your neighbourhood.
The Centre
Akanishta kadampa Buddhist Centre's home is Whaddon Lodge. This is a spacious building, next to a large park and not over looked by other buildings. We have our own car park and are walking distance from the town centre; there is a bus stop close to the centre. The Centre has a large meditation room, sitting area and garden making it an ideal place to relax and learn about Buddhist meditation, thought and living. You are always welcome to visit- just ring the centre to ensure someone will be avaliable to greet you. We look forward to meeting you.
